This RGB to Component (YUV) converter from JS Technology converts RGB signals via SCART for use with Plasma screens, Projectors, Rear Projection TVs, A/V amplifiers and video line-doublers. This offers a high quality video interface for domestic video sources such as Sky Digital, FreeView, Digital Cable and DVD players.
Provides greater flexibility with some plasma screens, where certain zoom modes may not be available using the VGA input. Ideal partner to our PARC209 Aspect Ratio Controller.
You'll find J S Technology products in many AV enthusiasts systems, due to their uncompromising dedication to quality. Designed to simply be the best, the RGB to component (YUV) converter allows for RGB signals to be converted for use with plasma screens, projectors, rear projection TVs, A/V amplifiers and video line-doublers. This offers a high quality video interface for domestic Audio Visual sources such as Sky Digital, On Digital, digital cable and DVD players.
Component (YUV) output can provide greater flexibility with some plasma screens, where certain zoom modes may not be available using the VGA input. Offers a suitable alternative for some plasma displays that are unable to accept a 15kHz signal on their VGA input. Ideal for projectors that only have component video inputs. Allows for the component video input of video processors like the iScan Ultra / HD or Lumagen Vision series to be fully utilised.
Take advantage of component video switching on modern A/V amplifiers. Ideal if you already have another component video source, use the A/V amplifier to control which source you're viewing.
The broadcast quality sync extraction is based on J S Technology's own highly regarded RGB to Plasma VGA unit's technology, superior to simplistic 'sync separators'. Even in the presence of Macrovision copy protection, the RGB to Component Converter unit is able to keep true to the original source. Always stable, always with the correct line frequency.
Computer enhanced, allowing for compatibility with Macrovision protected sources, such as DVD players, but still maintaining broadcast quality performance. Removing the extra synchronisation pulses Macrovision adds helps to ensure a stable picture.
Output is via three standard phono connectors. To make the most of the signal produced by the converter, we recommend using good quality component cables. Audio is passed directly to the two phono outputs without modification to ensure optimum audio quality. If required, the analogue audio signal can be converted to digital with our ADV-2000 Analogue to Digital Converter for onward connection using S/PDIF coaxial or Toslink optical interconnects.
