- The remote upgrade tool (hereinafter referred to as 'remote') is supplied on a rental basis at the agreed rate for a 10 day period subject to the return of the same remote in good condition on or before the specified return date. The rental agreement shall continue at the agreed rate per 10 day period or each part thereof until it is returned. Failure to return the remote within 30 days of the specified return date will incur an additional ‘non-return’ charge of £100 which will be debited from the original card used for payment, after which the rental agreement shall be terminated and the remote will become the property of the customer. The customer authorises each of these payments by accepting these Terms and Conditions.
- Use of this remote is at the customers own risk and expense. Failure to follow the operating instructions correctly may cause damage to the DVD player, for which Multi-region.co.uk shall not have any liability.
- Making the DVD player multi-region may invalidate the customers warranty with the manufacturer for which Multi-region.co.uk shall not have any liability in respect thereof.
- The customer should check that the multi-region upgrade procedure has been successful prior to returning the remote upgrade tool.
- The remote has been configured to modify the specified make of DVD player, making it ‘multi-region’ so that it will accept and play genuine DVD discs from regions other than Region 2. The remote is designed to work with specifically with Region 2 equipment. The upgrade will not facilitate the playback of counterfeit or ‘pirate’ discs.
- The customer shall be responsible for returning the remote at his or her own risk and expense to Multi-region.co.uk at the address below on or before the specified return date. The date of return is accepted as the franked postmark on the return packaging. This is to allow for delays in the postal service. It is advised that some form of registered post is used in order to obtain proof of posting and delivery. Please keep your proof of posting for at least three months in case any dispute arises. You must include the 'Return Form' with the remote. If you do not, we will be unable to identify that it has been returned and you may still be liable for the non-return charge as set out in section 1.
- The agreed rental fee is payment for use of the remote for up to 10 days, whether it has been used or not. Once the remote has been dispatched to the customer, no refunds will be made for whatever reason.
Notes:
This remote is configured to alter your DVD player's region code management system so that it will accept genuine manufactured DVD videos irrespective of their stated region code. It will not facilitate the playback of 'copied' or 'pirate' discs, or enable your DVD player to accept discs in a format which it cannot play already, e.g. DIVX, MPEG4, etc.
DVD video discs from other countries may not be in the PAL TV format. Your TV set will need to be compatible with NTSC video signals in order to display films from non-PAL territories correctly
